Michael has been a leadership coach and talent management consultant for nearly a decade. He has worked with hundreds of Fortune 500 leaders to customize talent strategies, leadership solutions, and coaching to promote personal and professional growth. As a published academic, with an M.A. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Michael has studied the mental processes and social pressures that influence effective leadership. His life-long passion for leadership, psychology, and mindfulness transcends throughout his work and interactions with others.
Post graduate school, Michael began his career working for scitrain, ltd. as a full-time employee where he was able to gain valuable experience observing, providing feedback, and coaching leaders of all levels. Following his tenure at scitrain, ltd. Michael joined KPMG’s People & Change Practice where he served as a Manager of Talent Management. During his time at KPMG, Michael was able to gain a better understanding of the unique drivers and customized solutions that yield the greatest impact for business in the Digital Age.
More recently, Michael has founded his own company and begun authoring an original manuscript titled “Catching Leadership” which was released in March of 2020. Combining elements of leadership, psychology, and mindfulness, Michael has developed and trademarked the C.A.T.C.H. & Release ® Model of Leadership.
As an individual with great passion for development, Michael seeks to understand the specific challenges, strengths, and development areas of each professional he coaches. Leveraging his own Strength’s Finder Profile of: Developer, Empathy, Futuristic, Positivity, and Connectedness, Michael leaves a lasting impression on those he works with.
Young Professionals of Dubuque (YPD) has a current membership of over 2,100 members. YP luncheons feature a presentation on professional, personal or community development.
