Do you share your age with others as a source of joy and pride or do you feel fear and discomfort? What assumptions do you make of others because they are older or younger than you? Ageism is prejudice expressed towards anyone because of their age. We limit people by assuming they are too young or too old to handle a task or take on a responsibility. We all age but very few of us claim it because we define youth as the gold standard.
Ageism affects our personal and professional journey and influences how we see ourselves. Let’s explore ageism in our society and how we can be bolder in claiming older!
