Attend the YP Monthly Luncheon held on the third Wednesday of each month from 11:45 AM - 1 PM. Affiliated under the Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce, Young Professionals Dubuque (YPD) exists to connect young professionals with each other, the business community, and the city in which we live, work, play and do business. YPD has a current membership of over 2,100 members, with monthly participation of over 200 members attending YP Luncheons. YP luncheons feature a presentation on professional, personal or community development.

Be there as Lisa shares tips on how to give and received feedback in a manner that focuses on solutions and not problems. She will also give the three questions to ask yourself that will keep your emotions in check at work.
Lisa Schaefer is an Edutainer, Counselor and College Instructor. She owns Shine with Schaefer, a coaching and consulting business that focuses on developing leadership skills in both employees and students. Lisa graduated from University of Wisconsin with a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She is a founding member of the John Maxwell Leadership Team and has presented trainings to over 100 different companies in the nation on the Maxwell Philosophy of Leadership and Service. Lisa currently serves as the Past-President of the Women’s Leadership Network in Dubuque, IA, is a member of the National Speakers Association and American Talent Development Professionals. Her past experiences include customer service positions including working for Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, educational leadership roles and executive coaching roles with Human Resource Departments. She brings high energy to the classroom and uses entertainment techniques to educate. Her goal is to help people SHINE by sharing strengths, having heart, innovating, networking and empowering others.
