The Tri-State Local Food Summit is a celebratory showcase of food activists, farmers, gardeners, educators, and community members taking small steps to build a more resilient and equitable food system and economy in the Midwest.
Keynote speakers will include Ali Berlow, Author of ‘The Food Activist Handbook’; and Andy Larson, University of Illinois Extension, who will be speaking on ‘Food Labels: Fact, Fiction & Debate’. Breakout sessions will explore the topics of Rural Hunger, Workplace Food Box & Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), Donation Gardens, Institutional Purchasing, Prison Gardens, and more!
