Daniel Horan OFM.  Longer Retreat: The Saint & the Pope: What the Spirituality of Two Men Named Francis Can Teach Us About Christian Living -- St. Francis of Assisi has captured the attention of the world for more than 800 years, Pope Francis has done the same since he became the Bishop of Rome in 2013 -- but why - Both men named Francis present the church and world with models for Christian living that are rooted in the Gospel and reflect what it means to live one's baptismal vocation.

This retreat will focus on what St. Francis and Pope Francis can teach us about our relationship with God, with one another, and the rest of creation, in addition to looking at what Franciscan Spirituality and Gospel Poverty mean in our world today. Daily Eucharistic liturgy.

Fr. Daniel Horan OFM vitae: - Franciscan friar of Holy Name Province (New York), a columnist for America magazine, author of several books - Frequent lecturer / retreat director around the United States and Europe - Earned M.A. in systematic theology in 2010 and a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree in 2012, both from the Washington Theological Union - Currently completing his Ph.D. in Systematic Theology at Boston College
