The Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce will host it's final Power Hour of our 2023-2024 fiscal year on May 8th, 8:00-9:00 AM at Hotel Julien Dubuque. Experts from Honkamp, P.C. and TRICOR as a prelude to the Chamber’s Manufacturing Appreciation tours being held the following week.

TRICOR’s discussion will focus on workers' compensation and building a risk management program by getting specialized insurance tailored to the manufacturing industry. They will dive deep into the Mod and Rates and how those specifically impact insurance premium. They will also share how a safety program can help reduce accidents and reduce the Mod, which reduces insurance premiums. The discussion will finish by diving into workers' compensation claims that impact the manufacturing industry.
 
Honkamp’s presentation will focus on sales and income tax credits and incentives available to manufacturers, including research and development credits, cost segregation, energy incentives and state and local considerations, including sales tax exemptions for costs incurred in the manufacturing process.
