The Chamber's Monthly Membership Luncheon shares relevant and current topics and conversations with the focus of informing and engaging our members on matters that effect business. Our February presenter will be Georgia Van Gundy, Executive Director of Iowa Business Council. She will be presenting on 'The 2019 Iowa's Competitive Dashboard: Measuring how Iowa competes nationally." This annual, nonpartisan review of Iowa measures how the state is competing nationally in five indicators economic growth; workforce and education; governance; health and wellness; and demographics and diversity. During her presentation, Van Gundy will outline recommendations put together by IBC members that share what Iowa needs to do for continued economic growth.
In her position, Van Gundy leads an organization comprised of of CEO's and top executives from the 23 largest employers in Iowa. The organization aims to serve as a catalyst to elevate Iowa's long-term economic vitality through global thought leadership, research and advocacy.
