Marilyn Dansart will lead the Centering Prayer program until 12:30 p.m. followed by a break for lunch. Then at 1:00 p.m. Marci Blum OSF will lead the presentation on Visio Divina. Marilyn's presentation will include an explanation of the history, benefits, and the "how to" of Centering Prayer. Scriptural images and stories will be used to focus on this form of contemplative prayer. Time will be given to a group experience of Centering Prayer followed by the opportunity to reflect on and ask questions regarding this prayer experience.
Sr. Marci's presentation will focus on"'looking" at St. John's Collegeville Bible pictures. While lectio divina is a way of praying with Scripture, visio divina (Latin for "divine seeing") is a way of praying with images. This is a time for meditation, quiet time, praying with a Scriptural image from St. John's College Bible pictures and group sharing.
