Sinsinawa Mound is hosting its first handbell festival, Bells, Bells & More Bells! Join us at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 2, for a handbell concert in Queen of the Rosary Chapel. The festival participants will put in a full day attending music clinics for individual ringers and full handbell and handchime choirs of all skill levels.
The concert will be the culmination of the festival. A freewill offering will be accepted. Festival Music Director Mark Bloedow of Madison, Wis., has lined up Sandy Mullaney of Plymouth, Minn., as guest clinician and the Ringing Badgers, Madison, as the showcase choir. The music was selected based on its suitability for worship and use during the church year.
The handbell festival is sponsored by Maestro Productions, Madison, and Sinsinawa Mound Center.
