An Arts & Business Academy workshop will be held in conjunction with the 4th Annual Arts & Business Luncheon on the evening of Nov. 19 at Smokestack at 62 E. 7th St. in Dubuque from 6:30 – 8 p.m. The Arts & Business Academy aims to provide professional development and business skills training for artists, creative entrepreneurs, and arts and culture non-profits.
This year’s workshop will be led by Carl Atiya Swanson, of Springboard for the Arts. Using Springboard's Work of Art toolkit as a guide, he will present project ideation and program development strategies that will aid creatives and non-profits in developing grant proposals, business plans, and securing funding.
The cost for the Academy is $5 per person and includes and includes light hors d’oeuvres. A cash bar will be available. Space for is limited. Please RSVP by Friday, Nov. 15.
