Join us for the YP Monthly Luncheon held the third Wednesday of each month. Young Professionals of Dubuque (YPD) has a current membership of over 2,000 members, with a monthly participation of over 200 members attending YP Luncheons. YP luncheons feature a presentation on professional, personal or community development.

Our September presenter will be Lisa Schaefer an Edutainer, Counselor, Leadership Coach, Corporate Trainer, and owner of Shine with Schaefer, a coaching and consulting business that focuses on developing leadership skills in both employees and students. Lisa will be presenting "What Motivates you to Shine?" Are you intrinsically or extrinsically motivated?  Do you look for feedback and recognition to keep you engaged?  We will explore the topics of self-motivation and how to help empower others to be engaged.  The presentation will include interactive table discussions and activities to help you network.

Lisa graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She is a founding member of the John Maxwell Leadership Team and has presented trainings to over 100 different companies in the nation on the Maxwell Philosophy of Leadership and Service.
 
Lisa currently serves as the Past-President of the Women’s Leadership Network in Dubuque, IA, is a member of the National Speakers Association and American Talent Development Professionals.  Her past experiences include customer service positions including working for Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, educational leadership roles and executive coaching roles with Human Resource Departments.
 
Lisa brings high energy to the classroom and uses entertainment techniques to educate.  Her goal is to help people SHINE by Sharing strengths, Having heart, Innovating, Networking and Empowering others.
