In honor of World Labyrinth Day, Sinsinawa Mound is hosting Sacred Space, Sacred Pathway, a labyrinth retreat, May 1-2, 2015. Sister Stella DeVenuta, OSF, will give participants a basic introduction, the symbolism, and the process of the labyrinth.
This ancient and reflective tool is used for finding spiritual and emotional balance, centering and grounding. The process reminds us that each person walks individually on a sacred journey, yet we share the path to God with others. Away from the responsibilities, noise and the distractions of everyday life, participants will be invited to consider what is going on inside of their souls as well as consider the path ahead.
The weekend will provide time for prayerful reflection, simple creativity and walking the labyrinth both individually and with others. Sister Stella is a member of the Spiritual Directors International and Franciscan Spiritual Directors.
