Sinsinawa Mound is offering a day to give you inspiration to let go of the things that weigh you down and allow yourself to find peace and joy. Join us for Waking Up to This Day, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, April 11. The beauty and giftedness of the world and our lives help us to stop feeling guilty about the past, angry over the present or obsessed with the future. Instead, we can come to realize the grace and goodness that is already ours.
You can hear this message firsthand from someone whose life experiences put it all in perspective. Paula D'Arcy's story traces back to 1975 when her husband and daughter were killed in a drunken driving accident. She was 27 years old and three months pregnant, yet survived unharmed. Six months later, she gave birth to her second daughter and began the long process of healing.
Since that time, she has authored nine books, worked as a therapist in private practice, and established a retreat and speaking ministry. Among her best-selling books are "Gift of the Red Bird," "Waking Up to This Day," and "When People Grieve."
