Event Description:
November L&MOP concert takes children on a tour of the Andes Mountains. The Northeast Iowa School of Music continues the 2014-15 season of the popular Lollipops and Music for Our Preschoolers (L&MOP) series on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 10-10:30AM in the auditorium of the Carnegie-Stout Public Library.

World musician Mak Dervo will take the young audience on a "Musical Tour of the Andes Mountains," featuring authentic South American instruments including flutes, the ten-string charango, and a large bombo drum. Children can expect lots of fun, participation, and exciting music!

These free, 30-minute concerts for children and their families are held the second Saturday of each month, October through April, at 10:00AM at the Carnegie Stout Public Library in Dubuque. All ages are welcome to attend these concerts which expose children to a variety of musical styles and instruments. The 2014-15 season of L&MOP is sponsored by Drs. Mark Niemer and Yasyn Lee, in honor of their children and their teachers.
