The Northeast Iowa School of Music continues the 2014-15 season of the popular Lollipops and Music for Our Preschoolers (L&MOP) series on Saturday, March 14, 2015, from 10-10:30AM in the 3rd floor auditorium of the Carnegie-Stout Public Library. The Dubuque Chorale Children's Choir will present a free performance open to children of all ages.
These free, 30-minute concerts for children and their families are held the second Saturday of each month, October through April, at 10:00AM at the Carnegie Stout Public Library in Dubuque. All ages are welcome to attend these concerts which expose children to a variety of musical styles and instruments.
The 2014-15 season of L&MOP is sponsored by Drs. Mark Niemer and Yasyn Lee, in honor of their children and their teachers. Dubuque Chorale Children's Choir is a group of approximately 50 singers in grades 4-6. Under the direction of Karmella Sellers, the choir empowers and mentors children through music by using discipline, teamwork, and creativity to produce works of beauty and art.
Located in Fountain Park in Dubuque, the Northeast Iowa School of Music provides arts education in the Tri-State area for persons of all ages, musical abilities, and economic backgrounds. Also known as NISOM, the school is a non-profit organization and a certified member of the National Guild for Community Arts Education. NISOM also provides a variety of outreach programs and holds numerous public concerts and performances throughout the year.
