Sinsinawa Mound’s Summer Organ Concert series continues at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, with Dalaie Choi of Iowa City, Iowa, playing her inaugural concert of the series. She is organist at First Congregational Church, Moline, Ill., and St. Wenceslaus Church, Iowa City, and has performed throughout the United States, Korea, and Europe.

A native of Seoul, South Korea, Choi received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Yonsei University, where she studied organ, voice, choral conducting, and music history. After moving to the United States, she earned her doctoral degree at the University of Iowa studying organ under Gregory Hand. Choi has participated in multiple music festivals and master classes to expand her understanding of Bach.

The Motherhouse for the Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters, is located in southwest Wisconsin on County Road Z, off Highway 11, about five miles northeast of Dubuque.
