America's River Festival - presented by American Trust & Savings Bank - is a two day festival filled with national acts from the world of country music (Friday, June 10) and classic rock legends (Saturday, June 11). Music and folks from around the country fill the Port of Dubuque for a one-of-a-kind experience. The Tappening - A Beer Event - is on tap for Saturday afternoon. Friday night features: Nitty Gritty Dirt Band ("Fishin' In The Dark" & "Mr. Bojangles") with special up and coming guests Jon Pardi ("Up All Night" & "Head Over Boots"), and Gunnar & The Grizzly Boys ("Standard American" & "Pedal to the Floor"). Nitty Gritty Dirt Band: Celebrating their Golden (50th) Anniversary together, the iconic and profoundly influential Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, often cited as a catalyst for an entire movement in Country Rock and American Roots Music, continues to add to their legendary status.
Saturday night features: co-headliners REO SpeedWagon ("I Can't Fight This Feeling" & "Keep On Loving You") and Cheap Tick ("Surrender" & "I Want You to Want Me") and with special guest Pablo Cruise ("Love Will Find A Way" & "Whatcha Gonna Do"). REO Speedwagon: Formed in 1967, signed in 1971, and fronted by iconic vocalist Kevin Cronin since 1972, REO Speedwagon is a band where the main constant over the decades is a never-ending desire to give their all to their fans, year in and year out.
