Jeff will speak to the Nine Steps to Being an Effective Leader developed over his 26 years of leading GreenState Credit Union. Topics will include both personal and professional leadership followed by interactive Q&A with the audience at the conclusion of his remarks.
Jeffrey Disterhoft received a Bachelor of Arts in 1990 from Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, Iowa. He is a CPA and earned his MBA from the University of Iowa Henry B. Tippie School of Management in 2003. Jeff’s work experience includes tenure at KPMG Peat Marwick as well as RSM (McGladrey & Pullen) specializing in financial institution’s audit work spanning from September 1990 until hired by the credit union in May 1995 for the role of Vice President of Finance. In October 1999, Jeff was promoted to President / CEO. Since filling the CEO role 23 years ago, the credit union has averaged 19% per year in growth, growing from just under $200 million in assets to over $9 billion today. New services have been provided for the membership during this time, including Wealth Management, Trust, Brokerage, Insurance, and Commercial Services.
