Young professionals in Dubuque gathered for another insightful luncheon hosted by the Dubuque Area Young Professionals organization at the new Reflections space at the Q Casino + Resort. The event kicked off with four rounds of "This or That," setting an energetic and engaging tone for the session. The featured speaker, Beth, took the stage to share her perspective on finding purpose in daily life, blending values, passion, and purpose into a meaningful existence. Sharing some genuine (and hilarious) travel stories and photos (that made us all jealous), Beth reminded us that when we invest in ourselves, we bring our best selves to everything we do.

 

The nonprofit highlight for February is Scouting America, because the “adventure, grit & growth youth experience Scouting in the Northeast Iowa Council of Scouting America is unparalleled.” Young people who get involved with Scouting America gain more than just adventure?they develop honesty, integrity, responsibility, agility, and teamwork in a safe and supportive environment. Through Scouting, youth build resilience, adaptability, and respect while setting and achieving personal goals. These life skills help shape them into model citizens and future leaders.

Dink, dive, and dash, it’s sure to be a blast! We couldn’t be more excited for this YP After Hours event!  Join us March 20 at Five Flags Center for a YP-exclusive Pickleball Mixer from 5?7 PM! Whether you're a pickleball pro or a first timer, we’d love to have you join us for some casual play.

 

Not your jam? No problem! Come network with fellow YP members while cheering on those on the courts. Pizza will be provided for all attendees, and additional food and beverages will be available for purchase.  Limited equipment is available. A tradition that goes back years, the mission of Days of Caring is “to mobilize volunteers annually to aid local non-profits through service efforts to strengthen the viability and future of these organizations.” This year’s Days of Caring event is slated for April 25, and we’ve signed up as a YP team to help with spring clean-up at the Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens.
