    The Mound, the highest point in Grant County, is home for the Dominican Sisters founded in 1847 by Fr. Samuel Mazzuchelli, OP. The beautiful complex includes historic buildings, an exquisite chapel with stained glass windows designed by one of the Sisters, and museums. Two professional exhibits, ''Tracing a Journey'', the story of Fr. Mazzuchelli, and ''Telling Our Story'', the history of the Sisters and the Mound, are open everyday, 9 am-4 pm. The Sinsinawa Book & Gift Gallery is open Mon.-Sat. from 10-5 (closed Mondays Jan-Mar) featuring baked goods, unique gifts, and home décor items.
