Shalom's Spring Breakfast Theme: “Be Praised, My Lord, For Sister Water” Tuesday, March 20, 7:30AM-8:30AM
Presenter: Nancy Knipper, Franciscan Associate
March 20th is the official first day of spring! Plan to celebrate and welcome the beginning of this season by meeting with friends old and new while socializing over a hearty, delicious breakfast! Then sit back, listen, and reflect as Nancy shares about the importance of the gift of water during this season of new growth and throughout all of the seasons. She will remind us that we are blessed by the water we have available to us that so many in this world do not.
Nancy Knipper is a member of the Sister Water Project Committee and has been a lay associate of the Sisters of St. Francis of Dubuque for over 25 years. She is a member of St. Anthony Parish in Dubuque where she has volunteered for such projects as a used book sale to raise money for the Take Away Hunger Program. She is on a subcommittee for the City of Dubuque's Intercultural Competency Initiative, providing tips on Water & Resource Recovery. “I know how blessed we are to have safe drinking water here, and I have an understanding of water being the very precious resource it is,” Nancy says.
