Event Description:

The public is welcome to attend a retirement reception for Wayne Buchholtz on Saturday, May 14, from 1-4 p.m. in the auditorium at the EB Lyons Center at the Mines of Spain, 8991 Bellevue Heights Rd.

A short presentation will be given at 2 p.m. Refreshments will be provided. Buchholtz has been park ranger in Dubuque for the last 24 years. He has received the Governors Excellence Award, was the Conservationist of the Year and Employee of the Year in Iowa State Parks and received the Outstanding DNR Staff Award. He is also a Certified Interpretive Guide.
