March is a wonderful time to do annual pruning for many landscape trees and fruit trees, giving them the shape and structure they need to continue producing strong, healthy growth in the coming seasons. On Wednesday, March 4th starting at 12:15pm at the Multicultural Family Center, 1157 Central Ave. attendees will learn about tree pruning basics including what trees benefit from winter pruning and how to do it.

For the vegetable garden growers, March is also a good time to start seeds indoors. Gardeners will get the latest scoop on what is needed to begin growing seeds indoors for the upcoming garden season. No registration is required and walk-ins are welcome! There is no fee to attend so bring a lunch and learn about gardening!
