Event Description:

Extending the growing season and increasing productivity will be the topic for the Dubuque County Master Gardener "Lunch n' Learn" talk on Wednesday, September 2nd, 12:15 - 1:00pm, at the Multicultural Family Center. Techniques such as fall plantings, succession planting, row covers, hoop houses, and cold frames will be discussed.

Participants are welcome to bring their own suggestions and experiences with season extension to share with the group. Resources on how to implement these techniques will be shared at the talk. A hands-on workshop on how to construct a cold frame or hoop house will be scheduled as a follow-up activity. Details will be announced soon on the Dubuque County Extension website and Facebook page.
