Lovers Of Place & Pilgrimage: A Celtic Day Of Reflection
Presenter: Susan Forshey, Assistant Professor Discipleship & Christian Formation, University Of Dubuque
Saturday, September 30, 9:00am-4:00pm
Celtic Spirituality lives in an in-between space, where both the love of hearth and the call to journey, can exist simultaneously. Reflecting on the stories of wandering saints and the rooted communities they founded, we will ponder how these twin aspects of life can find expression and integration in our own experience. Through art and text, silence and discussion, the day’s activities will offer gentle invitations to rest, reflect, and pray within the beauty of this ancient tradition.
A retreat leader and spiritual director, Susan leads summer trips to Ireland with Museum Without Walls, focusing on religious reconciliation and Celtic spirituality.
