The annual Galena Foundation Concert will feature Hunter Fuerste and His American Vintage Orchestra. The nationally-recognized, 14-piece orchestra will transport you to another time with their authentic re-creations of the hits from the big band era from 1935 to 1945.
Orchestra Director, Hunter Fuerste, is a tremendously talented arranger with a genuine desire to re-create every sound and element of the big band genre. He skillfully arranges the music for each musician in his entire orchestra by listening to the best vintage recordings of each song and hand-scribing every nuance and note. To date he has arranged more than 350 songs. Performances regularly feature the hits of Glenn Miller, Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman, Harry James, Count Basie and many others.
