  • Share:
Name: Dubuque Symphony: Beethoven's Epic Eroica
Date: February 7, 2015 - February 8, 2015
Event Description:

The Dubuque Symphony opens with Mozart's bright and lively Overture to The Impressario. Performing the piece alongside the DSO will be students from the Dubuque Symphony Youth Orchestra. University of Iowa professors Katie Wolfe and Anthony Arnone perform the Brahms Double Concerto in which the violin and cello aren't just alternating soloists, but equal partners finishing each other's sentences.

Beethoven's revolutionary Eroica Symphony was the grandest and most ambitious orchestral work of its time. Its extraordinary scope, majestic harmonies, and drama are sensational!  Especially heard live!
