Adult string players of all skill levels are invited to join the Dubuque Community String Orchestra for a free open rehearsal Monday, February 16, 6:30PM at Emmaus Bible College. The Dubuque Community String Orchestra (DCSO) is an all-volunteer, non-auditioned ensemble for adult musicians.
Sponsored by the Northeast Iowa School of Music, the DCSO was founded in 1998 by conductor Tracey Rush. Since then, the DCSO has presented more than thirty-five concerts at over fifteen locations in the tri-state area, featured forty four soloists, five choirs, a middle school orchestra, and commissioned six world premieres. The group presents at least two public concerts each year.
