Carnegie-Stout Public Library is pleased to announce an upcoming performance at the library by world-class aerialist and juggler, America's Got Talent competitor, and Dubuque native Laura Ernst. Using our library's grand and historic architecture in a fashion neither Andrew Carnegie nor Frank Stout could have imagined, Laura will perform feats of aerial acrobatics hanging from the vaulted ceiling over the library's century-old steel shelves.
In 2008 Laura won 1st place at the World Juggling Federation and then, on the 5th season of America's Got Talent, Laura performed inside of her human-sized hamster ball- a prop so impressive it caused Howie Mandel to exclaim, "I love you! You are my soul mate."
The event is free and open to the public and coincides with the library's June Art @ Your Library™ opening reception. Come support local art, enjoy complimentary refreshments, and see a unique and exciting aerial performance.
